I was raised on a tobacco farm in southern Maryland, and lived on the Chesapeake Bay, where we were crabbers and oysterman. Life in Oak Hill reminds me of that small town life on the Bay. In 1994 I graduated from high school in southern Maryland with vocational trade school training for sheet metal fabrication.

 

In 2004 my wife of 26 years and son moved to Port Orange, Florida. Over 14 years we watched Port Orange grow by an additional 12,000 people. We missed small town living. In 2019 we moved to Oak Hill because it reminded us of the small town we grew up in. 

 

With over 30 years of racing experience and being mechanically inclined I started a performance speed shop and acquired a fiberglass manufacturing company. After several years I sold the businesses. I now work in Real Estate with my wife. I am a member of the American Legion Post 285, and serve as Commander of Sons of the American Legion which allows me to help all veterans and honor my father's service in the military.

 

AS MAYOR…

 

• I will lead in a positive way and listen to the wants and concerns of our residents. I will not ignore the community’s needs and concerns.
   

• I will bring our Commission together, to create consensus, and to serve our citizens.
   

• I will work to create an environment for existing and new businesses to succeed in our small town.
   

• I will work to improve the city's infrastructure and planning, to support sustainable growth as we move into the future. 
   

• I will work to control the current overspending, and closely monitor the City’s budge.
   

• I will work to improve future development that reflects our community, values and life styles in this amazing small town we all love and live in.
